Accelerating Solar Growth Through State Policy: Portfolio Standards in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania

All around the country, states are transitioning to clean energy. The pace and nature of that transition is largely driven by state-level policies like the portfolio standard. DC passed a 100% clean energy bill in 2019, and Pennsylvania is considering updating its Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard in 2021, increasing the amount of electricity that must come from in-state solar.
